A lawsuit has been filed and the State of Michigan is the lead plaintiff in a class action against AIG.  Over 600,000 public employees including police, public school employees and other state employees are included in the State of Michigan Retirement System that lost considerable amounts of money by investing the pension funds with AIG. The suit is accusing AIG of being misleading illegally with advising of investments. It is unknown what the actual loss was to the State of Michigan Retirement System.
